Most major media companies are conglomerates that own a range of smaller companies (called subsidiaries). 

3) Analyse the film trailer for Black Widow. What aspects of the trailer tell you this is a big-budget blockbuster movie?

there are famous actors playing the roles of the main characters (big stars) and it must've been really high end and expensive as there are many modern settings shown.

4) How was Black Widow promoted to an audience? List at least three different methods used by the film's marketing campaign and why they were effective in promoting the film.

• Because they already have an existing audience from previous marvel movies and they fans
• They have a high income so they can afford making more expensive films and market them around the world at a great expense and they can franchise.
• Posters and teasers to advertise and excite people to gather their audience.

5) What was the production budget for Black Widow and how much did it make at the box office?

It was difficult to judge as of the Covid- 19 pandemic but they made around $379 million.

6) Would you consider Black Widow a successful Hollywood blockbuster? Why?

I think since there was a Covid-19 pandemic, there was more time for people to watch the movie as of their influences on social media so it was a success, however they didn't make as much money due to the fact that since there was a pandemic, the word wasn't spread as fast and it wasn't hyped up as much as it should've been.

7) Who regulates the film industry in the UK?

The British Board of Film Classification (BBFC)

8) What age rating was Black Widow given? Why?

Its rated PG13 but is 12+ because they are many fight scenes with stabbing.

9) Look at the Marvel Black Widow website. How does the website help to promote the film? Give specific examples from the website and how they appeal to the audience.

It has the trailer, which people can watch and use to hype the movie up a bit, they also have an overview of the cast and directors, which would excite the audience as of the big stars acting in the movie, so this will help promote the movie.

10) Read this feature on Marvel using a fan's tweet to help market the film. Why is audience interaction such an important aspect of modern film marketing? 

It is important to ensure a film receives efficient exposure to return profits not only at the box office but also in it's diverse existences and also if they audience interacts with the process of film making and marketing, then more of the audience would also want to do so and it'll attract a larger audience and gain more positive reviews.

She is right to be angry as she lost around $600 million due to lack of profit of the film.

Because it attracts the audience and creates a buzz for them to excite them and satisfies the audience due to the amazing quality it adds.

3)Finally, you might want to read this feature on whether there are too many Marvel sequels and spin-offs. Do you agree that there are too many Marvel films?

No i disagree because marvel films attract audiences and make a lot of money and people never get bored of them so there can be no such thing as too many of them.
